The Client

An elementary school teacher from Ingersoll, Ontario, Canada.

The Challenge

To develop an online portal, aimed pre-teenage, students which explores the history of art and the legacy left to us by artists through the ages.

The Solution

The portal was designed completely in Flash, which allowed the design to be more dynamic and graphical. We incorporated animations and rollover effects to grab the students' attention and make their research process fun as well as educational.

The portal was designed to encourage students to explore the history of art. Links to carefully selected educational sites were added to make the portal a gateway which would aid their research into ancient art objects and architecture from various cultures.

The Results

The portal was highly successful and was enjoyed by both teachers and students. The portal helped the students develop their website research skills as well as a greater appreciation of art history.
